Vaca frita

    1 kilo of beef
    1 large onion
    6 cloves of garlic
    200 ml orange juice
    Oil or lard

Fried cow is one of the most traditional dishes in Cuba. It is normally prepared with shredded beef and would usually be accompanied by white rice and fried plantains. It is a very typical dish from all over the country, and similar to Ropa Vieja.

Preparation :
Let's put the beef in the pressure cooker until it is tender. Let cool and shred the pieces.
Finely chop the onions. To book.
Mix the garlic and chives, also finely chopped, and the orange juice in a bowl with salt and pepper. To book.
The shredded meat is then placed in a large frying pan with the fat until well fried.
The onion is then added, as well as the orange juice that we have seasoned.
Let it boil for a while, turn the fried meat well into the sauce and then serve.
This dish, originally made from beef, can also be made with pork, chicken or veal.
